Roman Numerals to 100 Powerpoint - Teach, Practise, Extend

This Teach, Practise, Extend PowerPoint resource focuses on Roman Numerals to 100 and is linked to the Year 4 National Curriculum. In total there are five slides:

• Slides 1/2/3 (teach) - Detailed explanation of where Roman Numerals come from, how they are still used today and what each numeral stands for.
• Slides 4 (practise) - Questions for the children to complete which include children writing numerals as numbers and numbers as numerals.
• Slide 5 (extend) - Children have to apply their new skills by adding and subtracting Roman Numerals.

The resource is colourfully designed and can clearly be seen from a distance making it ideal to display on the Interactive Whiteboard and providing you with a straightforward and highly effective teaching resource. Great for a lesson starter, revision or early morning activity. It is aimed at the Year 4 maths objective but can be used at any time during KS2.
